Delrin

Delrin is a fantastic material for laser cutting as it has the cut quality of acrylic without its brittleness, it is also very chemically inert so is good for those types of applications where additional coatings are used. The downside is that it is usually much more expensive than acrylic which is not a cheap material already. Delrin usually does not come with a mask or any kind as it is often machined so if appearance is important we usually recommend masking it to protect it as there will be a good amount of scorching on the backside. You are limited in colors to usually just black and white but that is often fine since it is more of a functional material rather than it being used for appearance like acrylic which comes in a bunch of colors. We usually recommend black if you are trying to hide dirt/debris and white if you are using it in a capacity where you need to make sure it is clean like for chemically dipping parts.
