Laser engraving rubber stamps can allow you to get the detail and/or production level you need that may be difficult with a stencil. We generally use stamp rubber made to avoid the crazy strong smell that often comes with engraving rubber, we recommend Johnson Plastics Plus for the stamp rubber sheets. The material comes at a standard 8.5″x11″ size which allows you to make an extra large stamp which can really make an impression. We can also tile the sheets to get a larger stamp but it can get a little awkward trying to press a large stamp. Usually we will cut a backer piece of 6mm (1/4″) or 12mm (1/2″) MDF that the customer can glue onto the backside which is necessary to press the stamp rubber onto the substrate. You can get extremely fine detail from a rubber stamp, getting close to the level of detail you get from a silk screen.
